In the Greek language the word confession means “saying the same thing.” Proverbs 18:21 tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue, so it is critical that we learn to confess—or say—the same thing the Bible says because God’s will for us is only life and good! It also happens to be the way Abraham acquired the HUGE promises and BLESSINGS of God—calling things that be not as though they were. That means he was confessing what God had already told him was true. More importantly, Mark 11:23 tells us that we will have whatever we say. That probably makes you want to watch what you’re saying!

Words bring things to pass. Whether they bring to pass things that work for you or against you depends on what you confess (Proverbs 18:21). That’s why it is so important to choose to say the same thing God says with your confession. Your faith-filled words can then put the law of the Spirit of life into operation in your health, finances and relationships!

The choice is ours whether to agree with God or Satan with our confession. Choose life by a right confession and say the same thing God says.
