Romans 12:2 instructs us to, “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (KJV).
If you’ve been hurt, then the idea of forgiveness may seem impossible. You may be wondering what exactly it means for you as a Christian and how to do it.

The term “dying to self” is one that must be analyzed in the light of the New Testament. We must realize that when we made Jesus our Lord, our spirits (which were already dead) were made alive in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:1-6; Galatians 2:20). The spirit being, which is the real “self,” was recreated. The term “dying to self,” although widely used in Church today, is not valid for the born-again believer.
God needs you! He needs every single member of the Body of Christ to be right where He places us on this planet. We each have a specific ministry, a vitally important work to do: in our homes, churches, communities, the nation and our world.
If you are feeling insignificant, your feelings are being influenced by something or someone in the world—probably the devil—because in the eyes of God there is no such thing as an insignificant human being. To Him, every one of us is as valuable as Jesus. In God's heart and mind, your worth is equal to His.
God’s dream for mankind has always been to dwell inside of each and every person. When we accept Jesus’ mighty work on our behalf, the Spirit of God comes in and takes up residence in each of us. Our part is to be willing to receive the Holy Spirit and not back down from God’s presence in our lives.
The Bible teaches clearly how to live curse-free. You can begin to renew your mind and think differently so you can cooperate with the ways of God and experience the fullness of THE BLESSING Jesus purchased for you.
Just follow the instructions God gave in verses like these:
“My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble. Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life” (Proverbs 4:10, 12-13).
When Jesus quoted from Isaiah 61 concerning the anointing that was on His ministry, He read, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised” (Luke 4:16-18).
